Special orders or large orders for exotic aquarium fish 🐠 are subject to the purchase of a pre-order voucher for the amount of the order.

Our preorder voucher system is a newly implemented system which has all the pros’ and none of the cons of its’ predecessor “deposits”. Our pre-order vouchers allow for an effortless and simple experience on your part, as most of this is digitized. After selecting your fish, you will receive a quote which you can then secure your order by purchasing a pre-order voucher. This voucher will be used for the purchase of your order from our suppliers, as all orders are subject to availability, any unsuccessful orders or “DOAs” will be refunded, this refund will simply be credited into your voucher, or you will be issued a new voucher for that value. This credit entitles you to purchase items from our store as well for that value.

Large orders will be discounted depending on the quantity and viability; therefore, it is important to only buy a preorder voucher after you receive your invoice.

How do I start?

  1. Email or WhatsApp the fish, plant, and equipment that you require and provide us with your email address.
  2. You will be sent a quote, should you accept this quote you may use the link provided to buy your pre-order voucher. Note: A handling is required.
  3. You will be notified before the order arrives.
  4. Remember to fetch your order on the day specified in your return email.

Am I charged a processing fee for vouchers?
No, you are not charged any additional fees for buying a pre-order or gift voucher online.

How I redeem my voucher?
Once you buy an order voucher from us, you’re shown a unique voucher code after making the payment. You will also be emailed the order voucher code automatically for safe storing. You can then visit our business and on checkout request to pay with the voucher code. The voucher amount will then be offset with the checkout amount, and you can settle the balance by card or cash.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Due to the nature of our business you are required to fetch your order on the day of arrival at Aquaria PhD, should you not be able to fetch your order with the specified time frame, we will ensure that your livestock is healthy and happy and we will not be held responsible should any losses of livestock occur due to unforeseen circumstances and you will not be refunded.
  2. You will be given a date to fetch your order with reasonable notice.
  3. No livestock will be shipped. Delivery anywhere in SA is NOT included. We only deliver products at the moment. We will be offering this service soon.
  4. Imports may include a shipping fee.
  5. Vouchers are non-refundable
  6. We cannot be held responsible should the supplier send through a different variation on your order. E.g. If you order a hundred Electric Blue Moscow Guppies’ and it does not look the same as pictures when searching over the internet, it is the supplier’s variation or constant of the fish. This refers to hybrid or GMO aquarium fish ONLY.
  7. If an order has been paid for but not fulfilled, you may use the voucher for other supplies, or we will endeavour to ensure that you receive your order with our next order.
  8. We are switching to this system and will no longer be keeping unnecessary “exotic” livestock.
